Paul opens this letter as he does all of his letters in the Bible. He identifies himself as a messenger of Christ Jesus, asserts that what he is doing is according to the will of God, refers to Timothy, who was ministering with him, and identifies those he is writing to as holy, faithful, and hopeful people.
This sermon on Colossians 1:1-8 was delivered by Pastor Philip Thomas at New Life Fellowship Church in Concord, NC, on Resurrection (Easter) Sunday, April 5, 2026.
