Godliness with contentment is a prerequisite to both giving and receiving. When we are satisfied in the Lord with who we are, where we are, and what we have, we will willingly and joyfully give what the Holy Spirit prompts us to give, and we will thankfully receive what the Holy Spirit prompts others to give.
