Romans 9:30-10:13

Paul makes an important statement in Romans 10:2 that the Israelites missed the righteousness of God and the culmination of the law in Christ because they had zeal without knowledge. Their zeal was not for anything other than God. Yet, they did not have the knowledge of God or his ways. It’s not just the first-century Israelites who are at risk of misguided zeal. Every person who has believed in their heart and confessed with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, must desire to continue to grow in the knowledge of God, his purpose, and his children. Or else their zeal will be based on religion, culture, popular opinion, and their own perceptions.
