Romans 1:1-6

The predominant theme of Paul’s letter to the Romans is the gospel. Paul opens his letter stating that he is a slave of Christ because of the transforming power of the gospel, that he has been called as a messenger of the gospel, and that he is set apart to fulfill the specific purpose and plan of God for the sake of the gospel. Throughout the book of Romans, Paul lays out how gospel believers can live out gospel truths. The gospel defines who we are.
