Luke 22:66-23:25

Jesus’ trial before the Sanhedrin and then before Pilate and Herod couldn’t rightly be called a trial. It was a travesty of justice. But what is justice? And, what does it mean to do justice (act justly), as Micah 6:8 commands us to, in a world of injustice? The Bible answers that question by directing us to defend the oppressed, to care for the fatherless, the widow, and our own family members, to show mercy and compassion to everyone, especially to the foreigner and the poor, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to be impartial, and to loose the chains of injustice.
