Be prepared each night before going to bed.  They should have all needed supplies and books in a visible location to avoid the frustration of trying to locate them in the morning.  Insure papers are signed and all homework is complete.  Establish an age appropriate bedtime.  Your child should wake up feeling rested each morning.

The start of the 2008-2009 school year is around the corner.  New Life Christian  Academy teacher pre-planning starts August 25-29.  The children start on September 2. We look forward to a larger enrollment and the opportunity to touch more children’s lives through school ministry.  The following is a list of tips to help your child have a successful year.  Insure your child wakes up to a pleasant environment to help get the day off right. One example would be to wake up in plenty of time to get ready before leaving for school. This avoids the stress of having to rush. Provide a good breakfast for your child. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Having breakfast will assist your child in paying attention in the morning classes. Pray each morning with your child. Pray for their success and protection during the school day, for their teachers guidance and for classmates. Dress your child appropriately for the weather.  Take into account outside/inside conditions and special planned activities.  Layering will help insure they are neither too hot nor too cold.  Provide your child with a nutritionally complete lunch wither through the school or a lunch bag. Spend time with your child each day helping them with their homework.  Ask them questions to ensure they are understanding their lessons.  Also, inquire about their friends and daily play activities to insure they are positively influenced.

Unique Summer Mosquito Be Gone

Buy a bottle of Listerine, put in a spray bottle and spray around area where you are sitting or will be.  They will not bother you.  It will last for a couple of days.  It will be better for you than using the bug sprays, plus it’s cheaper.
